Partecipants to SPT2001 will be lodged in the three-stars Hotel
Villaggio Palmassera.
We secured a very special discount rate for full board accommodation
(including breakfast, lunch and
dinner; standard drinks at meals are included, you may have to pay
some extra for extra drinks).
The rates for partecipants to SPT2001, based on stays covering the whole
conference, are as follows.
Please notice that 1 Euro = 1937 lire.
In single room: 75.000 lire /day
In double room: 60.000 lire /day
Adults staying in third or fourth bed in a double room will have a 20%
discount.
Kids (2-9 years old) staying in third or fourth bed in a double room
will have a 50% discount
Babies staying in cradle: 10.000 lire/day (meals not included)
The above rates are for full board.
Rooms will be available at 17.00 on the arrival day and have to be
vacated by 10.00 on departure day.
Down payment at reservation: 20%. This will be retained if resevation is cancelled.
If you require an invoice rather than a simple receipt, please ask this
as early as possible
and however before your final payment.
Reservations
To reserve your accommodation, you will be required to make an advance
payment of
about 20% of the total fare. To make this and reserve the room, there
are several ways.
(1) Before 31/3
You can ask the organizers to take care of your reservation; you must
of course pay to them
(see the bank coordinates given in the "fees" page) the reservation.
(2) At any time

Partecipants wishing to extend their stay before or after the conference
will be granted the same fares also
for the extension period.
The Hotel Villaggio Palmassera has also some apartments available. Partecipants
interested in these can
contact the Hotel mentioning SPT2001.
Partecipants wishing to be lodged outside the Hotel Villaggio Palmassera
can do so, but will have to
arrange themselves for their accommodation.
The Hotel Villaggio Palmassera offers standard facilities free of charge
to partecipants; these include access
to the beach and to the swimming pool, to tennis court and of course
to the gardens. The Hotel Villaggio
Palmassera is also offering use of windsurf and other activities which
could involve payment of a supplement.
Car rental is available in Cala Gonone, and also inside the Hotel Villaggio
Palmassera. Similarly, excursions
by boat along the coast and by jeep in the interior are organized in
Cala Gonone, and also directly by the Hotel
Villaggio Palmassera.
We hope to leave two half-days free; in at least one of these an excursion
will be organized (possibly by boat,
depending on meteo). There will be a final dinner on the evening
of saturday 12.
(update: this could be changed, due to general elections in
Italy taking place on sunday 13 may: we understand
several italian partecipants coming by ferry will need to leave on
saturday afternoon to be able to vote)
The conference will start on early morning on monday 7, and end in
late afternoon on saturday 12; we therefore
ask all the partecipants to be in Cala Gonone by sunday 6 may,
and to leave not earlier than sunday 13.
We suggest partecipants to arrive on saturday 5 may, so that
an excursion can be organized for sunday 6, or
they can enjoy Cala Gonone and the beautiful coast of Golfo di Orosei
on sunday.
To secure accommodation in the Hotel Villaggio Palmassera, partecipants
will have to pay a caution (one night
or 20% of the total cost) in advance. To help the partecipants reduce
the cost and the hassle of money transfer
we offer the possibility of taking care of hotel reservation and conference
fee payment at the same time:
Until March 31, you can pay your registration fee to the SPT2001
account and add to it the hotel caution; we
will then provide to transfer it to Hotel Villaggio Palmassera. We
can offer this service only if we receive the
actual money (no "payment orders" or the like)
After April 1, this option is not available.
You must contact directly Hotel Villaggio Palmassera or CGA-Tivigest
for your reservation.
You can of course also take care of hotel reservation and payment of
the conference fee separately, even before 31/3.
We suggest to do this if you have special needs.
