Conference fees (in US Dollars)

Reduced fees are for unemployed and students; postdocs qualify for full fees.

The conference fee gives all partecipants the right to receive a copy of the proceedings volume.
Partecipants will be entitled to buy extra copies of the volume at a reduced price.

The conference fee does NOT include transport between airport and the Hotel, nor excursions.

We will give you a receipt for the fees, but SPT2001 is not able to give invoices.

We remind that we are offering full board for the whole conference period (seven nights) in single room for about 530.000 lire, i.e. around 230 USD. Thus the whole conference package (fees plus full board) is offered at 350 USD (at present exchange rate), with reductions for early payment and/or staying in a double room.

The expenses to be covered by the conference fees are mostly in US Dollars; in view of the strong oscillations of the exchange rate, we had set the fees directly in USD.

At present (15/2/2001), 1 USD = 1.10 Euro; thus the fees in Euro are:

1. If you pay early (in Euro) and then the dollar rate rises, this is the organizers' problem. If you pay early and then the dollar rate falls down, you will be entitled to a partial reimbursement to meet the dollar rate on 31/3/2001. (This applies only to variations of the dollar rate greater than 10%, payments before 31/1/2001).
2. To reduce the costs related to money transfer, you can pay your registration fees and the hotel reservation (20% of the total)  at the same time, until 31/12/2000; the payment should be directed to SPT. After 1/4/2001 SPT will not be able to take care of the hotel reservation and you have to take care of it by contacting Hotel Palmassera.
