STATUTE'S NOTES
1)
In the present social
capitalistic regime the contrast between productive forces and production
relations have not weakened at all. It has developed in new forms mantaining the
class fight between proletariat and the dominant bourgeoisie real and necessary.
2)
Capitalism is not reformable
while socialism must be so; (DP SU), then, has the function to be an autonomous
organization for an alternative and plural left, conscious that class
exploitation and oppression, marginalization and injustice, racism and
contradictions of capitalism are not modifiable. Therefore it organizes itself
and fights for popular power and basic democracy, for the supremacy of subaltern
classes wishing their emancipation.

DP (SU) wants to be one of the
necessary tools of the revolutionary fight of proletariat and a free political
organization of workers, men and women, youngs, honest intellectual forces,
misfits and lefts out for the socialist transformation of the society and of the
state; it is the acceptation of a new internationalism and the continuation,
beyond any dogmatism, of Marx and Engels,s thought, Lenin's innovative ideas and
works, the critical reflection of Antonio Labriola, Rosa Luxemburg, Antonio
Gramsci, Palmiro Togliatti, Enrico Berlinguer, it refers to the great tradition
of italian communists, particularly to the story of the Italian Communist Party
founded in Livorno in 1921 for the universal rights of working people, in order
to improve the social condition of the south, for the dignty and redemption of
workers, new generations, women, middle classes of the town and the country, the
intellectuals, its goal is a free, right society moving towards a new world. DP
(SU) organizes workers and people who fight, in the spirit of the resistance,
for the extension and the reformation of the principles of our Constitution
Republican and Anti-Fascist. It wants to transform Italy in a socialist society
founded on the principles of democracy in order to assert the socialist ideals
in Europe and in the world.

Within a new international
experience, in the new phase of antimperialistic and revolutionary development,
DP (SU) works to support the collaboration and the meeting of all socialist
movements, organizations and parties, for a recomposition of the workers
movement in its historycal form, without the exclusion of drops out, indios,
poor, unemployed and earth and water workers. DP (SU) wants to support the
populations of Asia, Africa, Latin America, the Pacific Area that are fighting
in order to state their historical rights and identities.

DP (SU) is a political,
voluntary, democratic and unitary organization organized in conformity with the
method of democratic centralism (against any fractionalism and sectarianism). It
wants to assure unitariety of action; every militant must assume his
responsability and partecipate in the choices and fights, defending his own and
the others rights. Each member must behave faithfully tolerating, sympathizing
and respecting the other members in their studying, work and organization so
that freedom, justice, peace, solidarity and cooperation can triumph, as well as
respect for nature and enviroment, religious freedom, sexual freedom,
development of multi.ethnic society, acceptance of minorities, exhaustion of
every form of discrimination. DP (SU) must spread a revolutionary conscience in
the masses, against the present state of things. It must form new cadres,
abolishing every privilege of parliamentary an institutional nature (the
candidates must be chosen trough a members' referendum) and refuse careerism and
buocratic degenaration. An elected member, a leader and a "professional
revolutionary" mustn't receive real different salaries /the salary cannot
be higher than the salary of a specialized metal and mechanical worker). Each
member represents the entire organization and the organization must represent
each member: among the parts there is a civil comparation and the respect for
the free expression of ideas a member can not obtain several appointments and
every application to join the party must wait six months of preparation): DP
(SU) intends to organize itself in "territorial councils" or house of
people, regional councils, and national councils. The first ones are the base of
the new society we want to build.

Part of the project and
programme of DP (SU) is the comprehention of the connection between economical
transformation and intellectual and moral reformation, between theory and
practice, criticism and auto-critiscim are two aspects of its way of being and
behaving. What joins DP (SU) members is, therefore, a programme and a project,
considering the needs of the masses, for the costruction of a non-capitalistic
society, in order to facilitate a collective management of the economical and
technological development, for a world wide process nor against but at people's
service, different from the other forms of real socialism but in observance of
the historical importance of the October Revolution for all the mankind. Besides
DP (SU), in consideration of the particular historical situation of Italy and
the west, takes note of the great trouble which concerns religions and the new
groups who take sides with the oppressed people, exploited and marginalized.

DP (SU) doesn't admit the
formation of currents, factions and groups while intends to utilize the
partecipation to movements of mass, and the construction of new ones in
observance of political pluralism and freedom in the fulfilment of arts, on the
scientific and cultural research, of information, of the rights of ethical and
linguistic minorities. DP (SU) wants to be an open and disciplined organization
in which every member can partecipate, a collective and complex reality which
represents an antagonist and constructive will against opportunism, careerism,
personalism, leaderism, and all the vices that characterize the traditional
parties. These are DP (SU) principles
which underline the inevitableness of its birth against the criminal nature of
the new dominant world order and the imposition of "an only thought"
political and cultural, economical and military of the few on the masses, that
is to say against the "right" socialdemocracies and the bourgeois
power that transform the present democracies into dictatorship.
"Grow up as revolutionaries. Study a lot to
dominate the technics which wants to dominate nature. Remember that revolution
is important and that each of us, alone, isn't worth, overall, fight any
injustice, whatever it is, whenever it happens. This is the most beautiful
quality of a revolutionary" (CHE)
