far ricorso a mezzi pubblici o privati che transitano su di essa;

difficile.

Stage information:
Through this stage you will walk within natural surroundings,
often having a panoramic view on lake Bolsena and its islands.
Even where the men works are evident, they are very
well fitted within nature, since you will find a few farm houses
but mainly vineyards and olive trees plantations and other
cultivated land.
During the central part of this stage you will pass
through the Turona Park, with large woods and plenty of vegetation
which becomes thick and wild around the various trenches which are
going down from the top of the crater into the lake.
Besides the last 5 kilometres, which are asphalt coated, the roads
you will follow are dirt country roads, where you will meet only a
few farm tractors.
In some locations, amid woods and farms, you will walk
on the old Roman Cassia road, with the original paving still well
preserved, in an enchanting atmosphere.
All roads and paths are well kept and you will not
meet any difficulty, with the exception of the ford of the Arlena
stream, the most important stream to be forded.
The stage is constantly parallel and close to the New Cassia road,
and therefore in case of difficulty it is easy to catch either a
public bus or ask for assistance to a private car.
Due to its easiness, total length and proximity to
Cassia, this stage is classified as not difficult.
