Birkin Tree the official site of the most famous band playing irish music in Italy. They had released two cds.

Glee's the site of the italian band I Glee's; my friend Rosario Vargiu plays the flute with them. They come from Cagliari and play irish traditional music.

SESSIONS IN ITALY

I would like to create a sort of data-base for all the people who travel for the first time into a town in Italy and would like to play Irish Traditional Music. At this moment I have only a few address, you have to help me!

MILANO

• Racana' in Via Sannio, 18. Session the 3rd thursday of the month: they date is not so fixed, it's better to call the pub at the number: 02.55189027 asking for Vito. The sessions there are great, with musicians as Carlo Galantini and Luigi Fazzo.

• Frizzi & Lazzi via Torricelli n° 5 tel: 02/8378228. Session: you have to phone, there is not a fixed day.

ROMA (Thanks to Fabio Scanzani The Fiddle corner Home page )

• The Fiddler's Elbow Pub Via dell'Olmata, near S.Maria Maggiore) Session: wednesday (9,30 - 12,30 p.m.) with the Crann a' Cheoil, a real irish band, but coming from Italy!

• The Four Green Fields Pub (near S.Pietro) Session wednesday.

• The Druid's Den Pub Via S.Martino ai Monti, 3 ( near Termini Station), the most beautyful pub I have ever seen in Italy, a taste of Ireland in Rome. Session: friday.

• The Dublin Post P.zza Gramsci 20/21, tel 0577/289089 session with Jolly Beggar. You have to phone and check the day of the session, they are not fixed.
