Reading the Merigar Letter, the internal bulletin
of the Italian Community, which regularly publishes, among other features,
the calendar of practices. The Merigar Letter is sent free
of cost to all members of the "Associazione Culturale Comunità Dzogchen"
of Merigar.

Through the Supplements to the Merigar
Letter, published periodically and sent to all those who leave
their address with the Secretary, asking to be kept informed of Community
programs.
MERIGAR – The place
Merigar, the first Gar of the Dzogchen Community, took
shape in 1981 and is the seat of the Associazione Culturale Comunità
Dzogchen. It is located near Arcidosso, a town in Tuscany at the foot of
Mt. Amiata, about 900 meters above sea level.
The buildings and grounds include:

the Temple of the Great Liberation, conceived by Chögyal
Namkhai Norbu for Dzogchen practice. Octagonal in form, its decoration,
by Tibetan and Mongolian artists, honors the masters of Ati Yoga of all
schools and times. It is used for teachings, collective and individual
meditation, and for Community assemblies

the Yellow House, a restructured farm house which now holds
the secretariat of the as-sociation and the lodging of the custodian (the
only person au-thorized to maintain residence at the Gar)

The Library and Mandala Hall, which houses the Tibetan Library,
the Audio and Video libraries and the Mandala for the Dance of the Vajra.

a group of buildings, housing offices, classrooms and rooms
for guests, known as Merigar 2
-
about 60 hectares (approximately 148 acres) of land.
