EDUCATION

After successfully leaving the technical high school N. Tartaglia in 1986, the undersigned graduated in 1990-1995 at Università Statale di Milano, Facoltà di Scienze Politiche. Studies on E.U. law and loan to S.M.E. (BRITE-EURAM, CRAFT, QUATTRO MOTORI, ECIP, JOP, ALFA Programmes). Title of the graduation thesis: " The relationship between Prime Minister and President of the Republic of France, with reference to the cohabitation periods." Knowledge, access and structure of E.U. initiatives and agencies as B.R.E. and B.C.- Net. In 1991 as representative of ERASMUS students association of the Facoltà di Scienze Politiche, he took actively part to "Salon Européen de l'étudiant", Bruxelles.

PROFESSIONAL

  • From 1989 to 1994 the undersigned worked at Studio Gorni - Brescia, a consulting agency for design and production of industrial goods by small enterprises. During this time, the undersigned was responsible for developing the market of services, providing direct-marketing actions, P.R. and trade missions in several European countries like: Malta, Greece, Spain and Germany. In order to improve world-wide contacts, the undersigned took part to informative conferences about E.C.I.P. and JOP (E.U. Programmes) and to international organisations meetings (i.e. UNIDO) too, meetings which were supposed to promote joint venture agreements with Argentine, Brazilian and Chilean delegations.
  • From 1993 to 1995: the undersigned was freelance reporter for a local newspaper, where was responsible for chronicle pages.
  • From 1994 to 1995: A local service company, a non profit agency which provides services to SMEs. The undersigned was appointed as person in charge for market researches which involved a group of companies belonging to Lumezzane and Valtrompia area in order to asses companies interest in using a behavioural study service for materials employed in deep-pressing machining. The research had different degree of development: sample selection, direct company contact, visit to companies for data acquisition, data processing using I.T. instruments, and report of the results obtained. Another duty of his, it was the promotion of services by direct-marketing: company selection and subdivision according to employees, direct-telephone contact or visits and reporting results.At the end of 1994, the undersigned became responsible of an office reorganisation in order to be able to supply services to companies: he took care of employees co-ordination, new services organisation, training courses, cognitive surveys, and so on. In the meantime, he was responsible for organising a meeting at a hotel, involving leading figures such as the Minister of Industry. The launch of an informative monthly magazine was another appealing challenge of the undersigned. The magazine had to be distributed throughout the Province of Brescia and had to gain and satisfy the interest of more than 3000 companies. The work was entirely arranged step by step: from the registration of the magazine at governmental bodies offices, to contact journalists, to make arrangements with the printer, to make publicity collection, to the correction of drafts, and so on. The last task was the arrangement of an informative section about community initiatives in favour of small and medium companies.
  • From 1996 to 1997: the undersigned was part of the commercial export staff of a medium size company producing men's external woollens: as export assistant, he took part to fairs as PITTI UOMO and SEHM and became expert of the main national and international fairs. On his own, he organised commercial missions to France, Germany, Japan, Korea, Slovenia; he also had contacts with the main Japanese trading companies such as Itochu and Marubeni.
