European Information Technology Observatory (EITO)
EITO is a broad and unique European initiative. Its objective is to provide an extensive overview of the European market for information and communications technology and to render services to this industry, to users and public authorities.

EITO publishes a yearbook which presents the most comprehensive and up-to-date data including the entire information and communications technology market in Europe.

Founders and current members (2000) of EITO are

  • European Association of Manufacturers of Business Machines and Information Technology Industry (EUROBIT),

From the very beginning the EITO has been strongly supported by the Directorate General III Industry of the European Commission, and since 1995 by the Directorate for Science, Technology and Industry of the OECD in Paris.

The EITO has been produced with the support of the EITO sponsors, the trade fair SYSTEMS in Munich, and the EITO company sponsors Deutsche Telekom, Telecom Italia and Interpro.
