You made my day!

Well, first of all, I wanna beg you to pardon me if my story is not so well described.. I'm not a writer neither a poet and many things won't be joined together.. and also pardon me for my awful english... Unfortunately.. I'm not able to tell every little detail because of my memory that really sucks.. When I live great emotions.. it sounds strange to me to find the words and let them sound that huge.. Sometimes words are really not enough to describe the way I feel and what my heart tells.. So.. it may happen that things that were important to me.. they won't sound that way for someone else.. but that's just for we are different ppl who feel different emotions.
So.. don't wait for huge sensations or unbelievable things cuz it couldn't be the way you expected.
For the first time I found the peace within myself!

Before I start telling what happened.. I wanna thank all the special ppl who allowed me to live such a happy day... Rebecca (Mrs. Mostow... "sorry again!"), Leonie, Darren and the rest of the band.. I must say that each one of them is a sweetheart and I also would like to give a huge welcome to the new ppl, Jennifer, the keyboardist and Angie, the back up singer... I want to thank Carla and Lori who did their best to find out something that could help my friends and I somehow! At least but not at last.. I wanna thank my friends who were there with me... Elena (BlueFairy), Simona, Monica and Amanda. You all rock and I'm soooooo happy to have you as my friends.

Well, all it began the 3rd of december '99.. when Savage Garden came to Rome for promotion. They did some press conferences during the day and then performed "I knew I loved you" for a show called Telethon to get money for the research against cancer and other diseases. Well.. I also wanna say one thing... I heard many ppl (not my friends) saying that I entered the place where they were performing because I knew some ppl or because of reasons (really sad) that I'm not going to mention.. Anyway.. I had the chance to get in because I work there and nobody couldn't avoid me to do that... My friends, the real ones, know that. I did my best to let them in but I had no power to do such a thing. I do really felt bad not to stay with them but at least they told me to go and take some pictures for them.. They really were angels! Also Leonie and Darren did their best to let them in but they couldn't do anything... They were guests and couldn't choose whatever they wanted! All the band was really nice and took pics and signed autographs to all the ppl... For the ones who love Daniel... he was really sweet and looked healthy.. He always smiled and did what ppl asked him to do! :)) I had some drawings to give to Darren, Leonie, Daniel and Anna Maria LaSpina.. When I'll succeed to draw the other members of the band.. they won't be able to run away from my pencil.. LOL - Anyway.. the guys arrived in time but the show started later.. due to problems with lights and microphones. Anyway.. as soon as I could get in the studio where they were going to perform... I noticed that the public had no idea of who Savage Garden were.. The ppl in the crowd had been chosen and just a very few could be fans of them... Or maybe I was the only one there.. but I can't be sure! Anyway.. during the rehearsal.. or better.. meanwhile the band waited to perform.. Darren joked and played with Daniel, Ben, Lee and Anna Maria.. He made weird faces looking at the camera and imitated ppl. He's one of the most amusing ppl I think I have ever known during my life! It would be too good to be true if Leonie could shoot Darren playing but she said that he's always that way.. also when there's no camera at all! .. No flashes were allowed.. so during the show Leonie couldn't take pics! Darren was always smiling and entertaining.. even if most of the ppl had no idea of what he was doing.. LOL..  I guess that's the FUNNIEST thing! ... I had the chance to talk a bit with Leonie and I can say she's such a sweetheart and sensitive ppl. She also suffered but got help from a true friend! I think I do really understand why Darren and Leonie get along with each others.. She is the "female me" of Darren. I think they are so similar.. and that's great! She treated me like she knew me from such a long time and was so friendly and open.. We talked about many things and from her voice I could feel she really meant the things she said. She also agreed with me that Carla is an Angel, a very sweet and careful person.
Anyway, as Darren came and got up the stage.. as he started imitating Michael Jackson... I was astonished!
I knew he did it many times but it was the first time I saw him doing that! ;P Daniel has never stopped playing guitar even when he could relax for the show didn't start.. but Leonie told it was cuz he really loved to do that! After the performance.. Darren promoted Telethon telling ppl to please call the number to give money for the research, the 187. It's been asked him to tell it in italian and he did it perfectly!!!
As the show ended as I left the place and told Leonie she could find my friends and I inside the hall.. so we would get the chance to have a word and a pic with Darren. We waited about 15 minutes.. then the security asked my friends to leave the place cuz they didn't have a pass to stay in.. So, I was alone waiting for Leonie to come and talk to me. After 5 min Daniel and the rest of the band started getting out.. and Leonie came and called me.. They didn't have so much time but Darren decided he could spend a spare of his time with me.. I couldn't believe it.. even if I was really sorry that my friends couldn't come cuz they spent about 10 hours in the train to come to Rome. If Darren could do that.. he would have met anybody.. but being a guest he just could follow what ppl told him.. Well, Leonie took me to the dressing room and there I found out an Angel waiting for me. God.. I had already had a few words with Darren before but now I was alone (with Leonie! LOL). He hugged me and then I started showing my drawings for him.. He wanted to get some pics of us with the drawings in our hands and I guess he read my thought cuz this was a wish of mine. Then we had a little talk about them. Leonie took other pics of us and said she's gonna putthem in the update.. Leonie, you are DA BOMB! Also Mrs. Mostow was there but outside the door and was always smiling! Maybe some of the pics will also be sent to the fanzine. Then I asked him if he could sign something for my friends who couldn't come to Rome and he did it.. and also dedicated something to me. I  brought 2 little boxes of italian chocolates with coffee inside and I gave them to him and he suddenly asked me if he could give one of them to Daniel cuz he really loved chocolates. Of course he could do whatever he wanted.. I was too dumb to think that I could give one of them to Daniel.. seen that they were two.. but "sometimes sanity takes vacation time on me".. LOL.. Anyway.. Darren always has a thought for his friends! He wanted to know my real name and called me that way.. When it was time to go.. I asked him a huge hug again and gave him a kiss on the cheek.. He didn't give it back to me cuz he was sick (even if he could share his flue without problems! LOL)... He was really exhausted and had fever and I could feel the hot temperature from the distance.. He also lost weight and even if he's  nice.. I think he should have to eat much more because he works so much! Before leaving, he asked me if I knew which was his favourite dish. I replied "Pasta with pesto" and he said that he loved "Caprese" atm (a dish with fresh tomato, mozzarella and basilico).  I can tell that Darren has really good taste!!! Anyway.. I left the dressing room, thanked Leonie and Mrs. Mostow and went out...
As soon as they were walking inside the hall.. Darren asked me where my friends were.. I showed them to him and he took some pics with them before leaving.. He couldn't do much more but even if he was really tired and sick.. he had time for them. I'll never stop saying that he's an Angel!!! Once he left the studio.. he got up inside the van with the band... We gave a last wave to them before they left... and Darren shared a heavenly wonderful awesome and warmful smile with us!!! Thanks sweetheart!:))

To resume in a few words what I felt.. I knew I was just a drop in the ocean but then he made me feel like
I was the only drop in the ocean.. After such unpleasants things that happened to me and my family this time around..  I do really felt good and felt in peace with myself for the first time.

and all the band to turn this cold foggy day into a rainbow of light!
