Shellac-My Black Ass (Albini-Trainer-Weston) Ok, I am very frustrated that there are only three fucking Shellac tabs to be found on the Internet so I am taking a great pain to satisfy the appetite of all the rabid Shellac fans like myself out there. In Drop-D tuning. Tune the seventh fret of your low E-string to your open A-string. All of the other strings remain in standard tuning. This song is divided into basically three parts. The first part is the chunky riff that Steve plays for the first section of the song. The second part is the clangy transition Steve makes before kicking back into the main section. The last section is repeated at the end of the song and is also used in the middle before the "It's a Gary Cooper story..." part of the song. There is obviously going to be the question about how Steve gets his guitar sound, and the answer is I really don't know. I play with a metal pick and lots of sustain and distortion and it sounds close enough. Any questions, comments, or complaints, feel free to e-mail me at false_monk@yahoo.com Enjoy!
