Pensando all’Egitto e alla sua straordinaria magia,
alle piramidi e al vivificante Nilo,
due figure geometriche
si affacciano prepotentemente alla mia mente
il triangolo e la cosinusoide smorzata
che con le sue sinuosità ricorda le anse del fiume

Da queste sensazioni forti è nata l’idea di intersecare
ortogonalmente il semplice disegno riportato
sul parallelepipedo.

E’ sorprendente che da questa intersezione
sia stato possibile ricavare sei sculture dotate, a mio giudizio,
di una notevole autonomia estetica.

Ancora più sorprendente è stata la scoperta che
con gli otto elementi ricavati dagli spigoli del parallelepipedo
originario si possono realizzare due piramidi.

In questo modo nulla è stato scartato.

Il parallelepipedo è stato sezionato, destrutturato e
successivamente riassemblato per ottenere oggetti
dotati di un livello estetico superiore e
di un significativo potere evocativo

Thinking of Egypt and its extraordinary magic,
of the pyramids and life-giving Nile,
two geometric figures
overwhelmingly face each other in my mind
a triangle and softened cosinusoid
which depicts the river’s loops with its sinuousness.

These strong sensations gave birth to the idea of 
orthogonally intersecting the simple design
drawn on the cuboid.

It is surprising that from this intersection
emerged six sculptures all endowed, in my opinion,
with notable aesthetic independence.

Even more surprising was the discovery that
with the eight pieces removed from the edges of the original cuboid
two pyramids can be made.

In this way nothing has been wasted.

The cuboid has been sectioned, destructured and
successively reassembled to result in objects
endowed with a high level of beauty and
a meaningful evocative power.
