From a range of possible sites, we have chosen the Parkway Pavilion in
Comber as the basis for this project. These former changing rooms of an
adjacent football ground have been built on the site of a former municipal
dump in the 1950s. They are disused since new changing rooms have been built
nearby. In its changing history the site has formerly accommodated a market
house, built in the 17th century, which was used as a joinery workshop for
the Comber distillery in its later years.
