From Sorbello you can visit on a day trip many places of interest in Eastern Tuscany: Arezzo with its Piero della Francesca fresques and the antique market; a little further, Siena and the beautiful countryside of the Crete Senesi; Firenze (that can be reached easily by train from Terontola, the nearest train station at a 30-minutes drive), the Chianti region. And of course, smaller but charming towns like Cortona, Sansepolcro, Montepulciano, Pienza...

In Umbria you can visit many beautiful places, and discover even more: Umbria is not a vast region, and you can easily reach in a little more than an hour Todi, Orvieto and Spoleto on the southern part. Of course, Perugia and its beauties is near-at-hand; and why skip Gubbio, Assisi or Cittą di Castello?

But if you don't want to go too far, the Niccone Valley and its immediate surroundings are full of surprises. Ask us how to reach the remains of Pierle Castle, on the road to Cortona; the tiny village of Preggio on top of the hills, where you can have a delicious meal of beans and chestnut soup; Montecorona Abbey and its medieval crypt; and many other hidden spots, picnic places and walks in the woods.
