  The Foul Stench of Politics

  The foul season of political campaigning had its beginning several months ago. As usual, there is disappointment with the candidates being bad and worse, with worse being one who plans on creating a theocracy. Theocracies have existed and such a time of ignorance, superstition, injustice, and intolerance has rightly been termed the "Dark Ages." Theocracies exist today and none of them have any redeeming characteristics. It certainly would be an oddity, and a breath of fresh air, to have a political silly season free of superstitious malevolence. Perhaps, someday, the cleaving of people to rabid superstition will end.
