I think this is a pretty comprehensive version of Forever

During the slow part about 8 strums each will do.

As the song speeds upA# (68876) is definitely added quickly during the 
slower parts so it looks something like this:

F# (24432) and F (13321) cna be added to the G section giving this:

When the song gets pretty fast it's only G# A G# G with less strumming or 
faster strumming or both.

The slow ending is back roughly to the beginning speed.

A simple bass line follows the corresponding notes for the chords with F# 
and F definitely added at times.
