Hiroshi
Ishii received B.E. and M.E. degrees in communication
engineering from Osaka University in 1977 and 1979,
respectively, and Ph.D. degree in engineering from
University of Tsukuba in 2001.
Since
he entered NTT laboratories in 1979, he has been engaged
in data network planning, CCITT(ITU-T) standardization
of ISDN user-network interface protocols, and R&D on
ATM switching systems, TINA systems and managed IP
networking systems. He was a TINA specification reviewer and a TINA conference
program committee member from 1994 to 1999. He is now a
senior research engineer, supervisor and a group leader
in IP networking project of NTT Information Sharing
Platform Labs., and responsible for R&D management
of managed IP networking systems including routing
control, access & authentication, QoS policy
management server systems, and Traffic Engineering
server. He
is also a part-time lecturer on networking architecture
for University of Tsukuba. He co-authored a book,
"Basic technologies of B-ISDN". Dr. Ishii is a member of IEICE, IPSJ and IEEE.
