Among all of the seven hills of Rome, the Capitol Hill, was the easiest to defend; it was all surrounded by precipices and surrounding the Tiber river. As a consequece, this was the first inhabited hill of Rome, back on the fourthenth century b.C. Despite this, it was only thanks to the Capitol duks that the Gallic army, under commander Brennus, were discovered and defeated.. at least, according to the legend!
