Italian Toy Soldiers

I collect composition and plastic toy soldiers, animals and civilian of any italian and foreign firm (Britains, Timpo, Starlux, Elastolin, Nardi, Xiloplasto, Confalonieri, Chialù. ecc.) .

I'm interested in exchanging and correspond with collectors from all the world.

I especially look for toy soldiers and other items of the italian firm NARDI because I am Collecting materials for a new book wich shall illustate the excellent production of this italian firm.

With my friend Franco Paoletti we wrote a book about toy soldiers made in Italy from 1930 to 1970.

The first book which thoroughly illusfrates the production of piastic and composition toy soldiers in Italy. Nearly 1000 toy soldiers belonging to famous tradenames such as Landi-Xiloplasto, Confalonieri; Chialù, Nardi, Rovello, Fontanini, Figir, etc., have been photographed, ctassified, and evaluated. An Italian - English version which is necessary for identifyng fradenames and manufacturing periods for those who intend to start a collection or merely admire the extraordinary Italian produetion which has been described by the use of many colour and black and white photographs. In the appendix you will flnd the reproduction of catalogues from the 1950s and 1960s belonging to the Confalonieri, Xilopiasto and Nardi flrms.
