- Bridiges
- di
Italo Gianquinto
-
- The
bridge of stone
- as
old as memory
- is
crumbling down,
- eroded by
neglect.
- The
bridge that was built
- as
hope for better times
- is
a relic of the past.
- The
bridge of stone
- that
I saw in the distence
- is
fading away
- to
be shorouded by the mist.
- The
bridge that I wanted to reach
- is
at the end of a winding path.
- The
path is bare
- end
I’m losing my strength
- in
the maze of history.

- Ponti
- trad. di Pina
Ardita
-
- Il ponte di pietra
- vecchio come la memoria
- si sta sbriciolando,
- corroso
dall’oblio.
- Il ponte costruito
- come speranza di un futuro migliore
- è una reliquia del passato.
- Il ponte di pietra
- che vidi all’orizzonte
- sta sbiadendo
- tanto da essere confuso tra
la nebbia.
- Il ponte che io volevo raggiungere
- è alla fine di un tortuoso sentiero.
- Il sentiero è vuoto
- ed io sto perdendo la mia forza
- nel
labirinto della vita.
