The
story of a long journey undertaken in 1999 through
Ethiopia, a country not accustomed to peace, during the
war with Eritrea, whose echo resounds a dramatic sound
track in the background. The itinerary wends its way
through wonderful places such as the medieval castles of
Gondar, the hypogean churches of Lalibela, the Muslim
sanctuary of Harar, up to the 4300 metres of the village
of Chencha, the natural park of Bale Mountains and those
of Awash, the Coptic Crhistian monasteries on Lake Tana,
the Blue Nile Falls.The account of the journey whose
itinerary takes the form of the sign of the Cross, with
its four cardinal points, is preceded by the legend of
King Solomon and Queen of Sheba, the foundation stone of
Ethiopian imperial tradition, and also by the
re-construction of the historic events in the nation from
1974 to the present day. |
