Donald "Buck Dharma"

IMO, absolutely the
best!
Great technique, huge class, great
composer and songwriter, he played many of the best pages of
rock music.
|
Billy Gibbons |
|
The best rock blues player I've ever heard.
It's a must to hear him religiously, above all in the
first albums of his band, the faboulous ZZTOP. |
Gary Moore |
|
Prodigious technique, great class, good taste;
he take part of the mithical THIN LIZZY. Gary is for guitar
the same thing Maradona is for soccer. |
Eddie Van Halen |
|
It's almost mandatory to insert him in a top 10;
for about 20 years he was the most imitated player of the
world (but,however, no one seems to be able to succeed or
overcome him). |
Steve Lukather |
|
Infinite class, great taste, absolute technical skill;
he is one of the greatest session men of the world, but his
heart is so great.... |
Mark Knopfler |
|
Rightly in the mith;
The Fender brand will probably have eternal
thankfulness for him, because half of the world has bought a
Stratocaster after hearing him in the first Dire Strait's
album. |
Frank Marino |
|
Not very known, but he is a CULT!
The best hard rock blues player I've ever heard
(especially "live"). |
Steve Ray Vaughan |
|
He has re-brought rock-blues to the masses.
His stratocaster has traced an indelible furrow in
today's guitar music. |
Barry Bailey |
|
GREAT! One of my
favorites!
Very hardly you'll find his name
in a guitar top 10; what a mistake! He has all the
characteristics a top player'd have (hear his controlled
harmonics for example);
Guitarist of ATLANTA RHYTHM

Paul Gilbert |
|
I don't love the "new generation" guitar monsters (the ones
which think that it's enough to play Paganini on their Les
Paul to became a great player).
However, Paul Gilbert is completely out of this bunch
(listen to his "tribute to Hendrix" in religious silence,
please).
