At only thirtythree Rocco Zifarelli can boast a long and full professional carrier, as he collaborated with many different Italian and foreign artists (Paul Mac Candless, Massimo Urbani, Tony Scott, Kenny Kirkland, Paco Sery, Matthew Garrison, Horacio Hernandez etc.), playing many kinds of music. At the present time he is collaborating with directors Ennio and Andrea Morricone (who won the Golden Globe for "The legend of Novecento"'s soundtrack), and with director Gianni Ferrio (RAI television) and director Giuseppe Vessicchio (Mediaset television). Besides, he partecipated to the Sanremo Festival 2000 as a guitarist of the RAI Orchestra. Zifarelli is a virtuoso guitar player but he is also very skilled in
playing the mandoud, the mandolin, and the fretless guitar. His partecipation
to the "XENIA" band's CD gained the praisal of world fame artists
such as
Pat Metheny, Scott
Henderson e Steve Khan.
His first album, "Lyndon" (produced by "Via Veneto Jazz" ) is the outcome of his long experience and musical research, shared with many of the musicians that played in it, besides other well known musicians and the Rai Orchestra strings: "a varied but consistent mega-production, rich and elaborate but never over intellectual, where one can appreciate Zifarelli remarkable talent as a of composer and arranger"(Alfredo Saitto - IL GIORNALE) . Since 1998 Zifarelli's being performing in clubs and Festivals with
his ROCCO ZIFARELLI BAND, made of some of the best musicians in Europe.
