In this last
decade the Industrial Consortium of Siniscola has been
one of the protagonists of Alta Baronia s
industrial and economical development. Alta Baronia is an
area of Sardinia, situated on the north-east coast,
which, since the early 1950 s has witnessed the
birth of the industries which have characterised, along
with the tourism sector, the economic, social and
cultural development of the population.
During
the last ten years there has been an increase in
the number of industries present (such as
production of cement, lime, dairy, thread and
yarn, marble and granite, ceramics etc.). In
this context the object of the
(the Industrial Consortium of Siniscola), is to
resolve this state of crisis by investing in
technologically advanced companies which look
towards a European and worldwide market. A modern
industrialisation, which has to be made up of
medium-sized and small industries, which
stimulates a true synergy between the other
economic sectors which will be the basis of the
area s development.
The
Industrial Consortium works as the promoter of
this new industrialisation equipping them with
the essential basis services for the companies
(such as land, electricity, water services,
sewage and purification plants).

They have created an area in which
investors have demonstrated a high level of interest; the
geographical location also offers advantages lying
between Nuoro and Olbia where there is the port and the
airport a forty-minute car journey away. Another
advantage is that Alta Baronia is on the East Coast,
which is a phase of rapid touristic development, where
you can find: San Giovanni di Posada, Siniscola, La Caletta, Santa Lucia, Capo Comino and Berchida.
